Fairly trivial question I guess; what is an OBI (in bank statements) ? Why should I care ? ;)

OBI stands for 'Originator to Beneficiary Information'. It is a description of the statement line. You should have this information in the statement provided by your bank. For example 'Check No #######', 'Swift transfer XXXXX', or 'ATM withdrawal XXXXX'.
