I have two users director and user, i need to restrict the director from not editing the leads and opportunities but director must be given rights to convert lead to opportunity to quotation. how do i go about doing this.

I created custom group and restricted director but i am unable to convert lead to opportunity, it is only possible when i give it write permission.

Is there a way to fix this?
