The module doesn't work on 11. How's are you using it now?
I'm not. I've abandoned this for the time being. I might return to this when the need presents itself again.

I found a module for this: https://www.odoo.com/apps/modules/9.0/website_security/
Seems it was not ported to v10 yet, which is why I didn't notice it at first.
