After Odoo client stopped working as of \this my other question, I replicated the installation on a new server (same Odoo version, both installed via apt-get, both Ubuntu 14.04):

1. I backed up and restored via pg_ tools

2. I transferred the filestore along with permission using tar

Now everything is at its own place,Odoo is running fine but attachments are not found. 

Which way should I use to transfer filestore?
