I only wish to generate tickets for the main email recipients and not the people cc'd in the same email. How can I do so?

In Odoo Helpdesk, there is a setting to exclude cc'd recipients from generating tickets. Here's how you can configure it:
Go to the Helpdesk app and open the Settings menu.
Click on the Email tab.
Under the Email Alias section, select the email alias for which you want to exclude cc'd recipients from generating tickets.
Scroll down to the "Advanced Settings" section and set the "Create Ticket from CC" option to "No".
Save the changes.
With this setting, when an email is received at the selected email alias, only the main recipients will generate tickets, and the cc'd recipients will be excluded.

Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to assist me. I have some additional queries regarding the answer you posted.
I tried executing the steps you mentioned but I'm unable to find a Settings panel in the Helpdesk app. I do see a Settings icon on the main Odoo page but it doesn't have the 'Advanced Settings' option.
Could you guide me regarding what I'm missing?
