Hello,

I've set up my Odoo under administrator profile. Now I added one user and gave him ALL possible access right's (except multi company as it is not used) under Settings-Users.

When trying under new user, under Sales-Customer I see only the new user profile. When I go Accounting - Sales invoices and click on any invoiced customer name (I see their names there), then I'm getting this error:

"Odoo warning - Access error

The requested operation cannot be completed due to security restrictions. Please contact your system administrator.

(Document type: res.partner, Operation: read)"

I don't have access to any customer data created under administrator profile.

How to fix this?

Hi,

check your new user for the rights "Portal" or "Public". Those rights are not for ordinary users, and hence would break rules even of an admin (except the superadmin).

Besides, if you use multi companies: make sure, a new user has correct companies defined.

Unselecting "Portal" and "Public" from profile made contacts available for the user.
