Hi,
You can activate "Purchase Order Approval" that allows you to request managers to approve orders above a minimum amount.
This gives you only one level of approval, but if you want to restrict more you will need some customizations.
You can also activate other features according to your needs, such as: Warnings, 3-way matching, Lock Confirmed Orders.

This module allow to create custom approval route for purchase orders. Setting approval based on Total Amount is supported. You can create your own rules easy.
