I created a second web page and went through with the wizard. After that, I wasn't happy with the result and wanted to redo it from scratch.
1. The first weird thing I noticed: I started by deleting menu items but after saving it I got some notifications about child items and the web page was refreshed. After the refresh, there was no change in the menu on the home page. Subpages did reflect menu changes.
2. Second, I tried to delete elements on the landing page and I got no notifications but after the save and refresh, the changes did not stick.
3. I tried to delete the whole web page and create it anew, but the new web page was immediately designed in the same way as the old page. No reported errors though.
4. I tried to switch to a different language and changes were reflected. When switching back to the original and default language, the original design was back.
5. I tried to unpublish the web page and at first it just didn't stick. After each refresh slider was back in "green" and the web page was still obviously published.
FINALLY: After some more tries in deleting and refreshing and whatnot, I started to receive the message:
Missing Record
Record does not exist or has been deleted.
(Record: website.page(10,), User: 6)
Another symptom started to creep in after that. In the default language, the landing page is now totally broken. The Browser console is totally red and reports "refuse to apply stile from...", "DOMException: Failed to read the CSSRule...", etc. Interestingly in the second language, the same landing page loads normally and reflects design changes too.
Message now appears every time I try to Unpublish the web page in the original language.
I suspect that perhaps there was some error created when I was originally deleting Menu items and mistakenly deleted Parent before all Child items. At least at that point, I received the first error and issues started. And now something is not getting cleared out of a database or some other record and is persisting issues in spite of me deleting the web page and recreating it.
Any ideas how to approach and resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
