I can use the Employee addon to create employees, but I don't see the option to set credentials.

I created a user from the salesperson list on Customer Invoice form, but for some reason, it's set to be a customer and I can't delete it either.

Hi,

You have to relate the user (Related User field) with the employee. In that user, you can set the credentials and that related user will be used for the employee to login into the system.

Where is this related user interface? I don't recall seeing it.

You can find it in Employee form > HR setting tab > field called 'Related User'.

Is there a way to create users without email? For example, I don't need PoS users to have an email, they just need to authenticate to PoS terminals.

Yes, email is not mandatory in User. You just have to pass Login of the user.

But what about the password? It says password will be sent to the email address... Urgh, is there no documentation about this?

Hi,

As Abhishek told , the employee is related to user through the field related user.  If you want to create and assign a new user to employee from the employee form , have a look at this community module : User From Employee

Yup. You can do as per Abhishek said. I recommend you first create your users then create new employee in this case before filling any information of your employee just set your user in the Employee form > HR setting tab > Related User.
