Hi Sir
You are able to change the invoice Template through Setting - Change Document Layout
to send invoice directly file should be type odoo work to be PDF to be easy to download , are you have another alternatives of documents types ?
I myself don't really know what types of documents there are, I just started to deal with inheritance, this is the first time I see this system, I don't have such a menu Setting - Change Document Layout
