Let's imagine a final product, holding a serial number, that contains a few parts with serial- or lot-numbers. All tracing information is registered at the time of manufacturing registration. The product is then serviced later during it's lifespan and one or more of the traced parts are replaced. What is the best method to keep track of the new part list of the final product? And on the other hand, if I need to figure out where the new components are located, how would I do that? Is there any standard Odoo solution in place to link the new components to the older final product?
