the vendor name has no follower salesperson from the start.  once the salesperson went to customer menu and closed the customer @ search toolbar, he/she can now  view the vendor name using sales see all documents and sales manager groups. is there other way to hide the vendor name?

You can simply remove the follower salesperson from the document on which Vendor name is mentioned.
