Until version 14 it was possible to integrate Odoo channels with GitHub. How to do this integration in Odoo 16 ootb?

This module has been removed from Odoo 15.0 Enterprise and the below is the reason:
The mail_github module does not seem to be particularly used by our customers.
It is not installed on our prod either even though we actively use github. It is
difficult to find it because it cannot be installed from the settings. At last,
it caters a very specific segment of customers. All in all, it does not seem
worth it to continue maintaining this module.
weird decision, many addons are not installable from the settings, and instead of improving, knowing the problem they just drop it!

I had a slightly more positive response than yours from Odoo , who knows ... ;-)
It appears that this module no longer exists in Odoo 16 and there is no standard way to integrate GitHub with the Discuss app.
However, we have submitted feedback to our R&D team for this module. Please note that I cannot guarantee exactly if or when any changes will be made. Typically, our team uses feedback from our customers to improve the next versions of our software (most likely Odoo 18).
