Noemaly if you log in to Odoo you fin d yourself on the portal, or messages menu. I wish to change it toa custom url or custom menu for my module. How could i acomplish this?

You might be asking about the "Home Action" for the user when they log in. Look under Settings | Users | Users, then pick your user to edit. Click Edit, then select the "Preferences" tab. Under Menu Customization you'll see "Home Action" which is where you will land after you log in.
