When I upload jpeg's for my shopping cart or to place graphics in other locations they are too large. Is there a way to reduce the size of my jpeg's?

Thanks Christopher. I have resized the jpeg using Photoshop Elements. And while the graphic does reduce in size while in Photoshop, when I upload the resized jpeg it reverts back to the large size. And I'm not sure why it does that.
Can you share a screencast of what is going on? Sounds like now we're not talking about file size but width/height dimension? If so, you're theme probably has somewhere a fixed definition of width and/or height for displaying these images. Can't be said with certainty since there is no more information available.
