I come back to this after one year to check if some solution or suggestion is available.
First of all I just want to explain in a simple way what I'm looking for.
My company, based in Italy, is a sale representative of many international vendors. We sell goods on behalf of the companies we represent, even if we do not deal directly with the goods.
We only provide the sale service, not the delivery of the products, which is managed by the represented vendors. We do not buy or produce any products. We do not issue any invoice to the products buyers (as it is issued by the vendors).
For each placed order we get a commission from the represented vendor we sold the good on behalf of.
We invoice our commission to the represented vendors, based on the invoice issued by them to the customer.
Until today we used an home-developed system, fully working but not complete as we would like and by now the time to switch to something else has come.
We tested long time Odoo but cannot make it work as we need. We like it but we are really wondering if it is suitable for us.
To make everything works properly, in Odoo we need to set up necessarily all what follows:
- our company in a way that we can issue invoices
- the (represented) vendors of the products
- all the products sold by each vendor
- all the customers as buyers of the sold products (quantities and prices)
- record all the orders and deliveries
- calculate our commission based on quantities and/or values sold
- issue our invoices to the represented vendors (as they are the users of our sale services).
Any suggestion, idea, solution or whatever is warmly appreciated.
