I just crashed into this. I saw that unchecking reCaptcha would uninstall some things but do not recall seeing Website in that list. Perhaps I missed it. 

This is very disturbing behavior. Being able to disable a component like reCaptcha should not uninstall the whole website module. Perhaps there is some deeply technical reason why this HAS to happen, but my goodness this is unfriendly and makes Odoo look VERY vulnerable to losing a lot by making what looks like a simple change for testing purposes. For me this has me questioning relying on Odoo.

Hey same problem but I didn't do manual backup so any other solution? Someone please tell me I don't want to lose my data...

How did you managed it? I've made the same mistake now, and I'm very desperate!!! How such a thing doesn't have a warning there?

Do not disable the reCAPTCHA feature or uninstall the Google reCAPTCHA integration module, as many other modules would also be removed.

Why this is not at the website configuration?

I have not done any backups myself and I have not seen anywhere to do that. Are you able to tell me where to look?

Do you have any previous backup's of your database ? If yes, its possible to completely restore it or to get the designed website from it.
