I have products with attributes that do not generate variants. The Variant Creation Mode on the attribute is set to “Never”.

When I publish the product in the webshop, there is still a selection for these attribute values. The same applies for Point of Sale: If I scan the article, the attribute value still has to be selected.

This makes no sense from my point of view. Why does an attribute value have to be selected if there is no variant for this article? Does anyone have a workaround for this problem?
