Hi all,

I'll be grateful for whatever help.

In order to test the viability of openerp for my company, I have opt to install openerp community on our companies server. I can connect other PCs in the same network to OPENERP via the browser but I have no clue how to connect OPENERP to PCs through the internet.

For instance the warehouse location is at a remote location from where OPENERP is hosted so the OPENERP users at the warehouse have to connect to OPENERP via the internet.

Can someone show me how I can achieve that? Thanks in advance!

This is usually done in a couple of way. 1 If you are using OpenERP behind nginx or Apache as a reverse proxy, you will need to forward port 80 or 443 from your router to your internal server

2 If you are not using a proxy and connect to Openerp on port 8069, then you need to forward port 8069 from your router to the OpenErp server

If you don't have a static IP or domain, you may have to get a dynamic DNS account so the remote users can always know your IP
