Each week builds upon the last, with short lessons, guided exercises, and real-world examples that make the learning experience approachable, even for non-technical participants.

What do I need to know before starting? (Pre-requisites)

This course is designed for professionals who want to make smarter decisions using Odoo—whether you're in operations, finance, sales, or IT. You don’t need to be a developer, but a basic understanding of how business systems work will be helpful.

Before starting, we recommend that you:

• Watch Odoo’s full Odoo Studio Tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1-aSABtP6ADrLdkRuSAuLPd7qqql4T8c).
• Have general experience using Odoo or another ERP system.
• Be familiar with three-tier architecture software.
• Be familiar with any Database Management System (DBMS).
• Understand the basics of SQL (how to read and write simple queries).
• Be familiar with spreadsheets (formulas, pivot tables, filters).
• Be curious about how data can improve decision-making.

If you’re comfortable navigating data tables, asking analytical questions, and working with structured tools like Excel or Google Sheets, you’re more than ready to get started.

Here’s what to expect:

Module 1: Foundations of Odoo Data

We’ll start by demystifying how Odoo stores and organizes your business data. You’ll learn how the system thinks, how information flows, and why this matters when building reports. By the end of this module, you’ll be able to speak confidently about Odoo’s data model and how it supports smarter decisions.

Module 2: Business Intelligence Principles in Action

We’ll introduce core BI concepts—like KPIs, dashboards, data storytelling, and decision-making frameworks—and apply them within Odoo. You’ll gain hands-on experience in creating meaningful insights that help teams align and perform better.

Module 3: Odoo Studio Reports + AI Features (Bonus)

In this section, you’ll learn how to use Odoo Studio to customize your apps without writing code, and how to create and modify PDF reports to match your business needs. As a bonus, you’ll also explore key AI-powered features that enhance automation.

Task Format

The course can be found on our eLearning platform. The format is divided into different Modules, which are then further divided into tasks. Tasks can take from 20 minutes to a couple of hours. The longest tasks will take a maximum of 2 hours.

Each task is divided into 4 parts:

• Why this task?: A short explanation of why this task is important for you as a Data Analyst.
• How to manage it: Tips to help you succeed. This section tells you if it’s something to read, prepare for, or complete.
• What is this task about: The main content or topic you’ll learn in this task.
• Outcome: Check what you’ve learned and compare it to the task content.
