Saw a youtube video showing odoo website with a rent online function

I would like to set it up like that but I cannot get it to work right. the product is listed as a rentable item but when add to car get pressed its adds it as a product not a rental, turning of "can be sold" breaks it completely and doesn't allow an add to cart. 

any help is appreciated
