Why Was the Consolidation Module Removed in Odoo 18

Question

I’ve recently started working with Odoo 18 and noticed that the *Consolidation* module is no longer available. This module was very useful for managing financial consolidation across multiple companies, especially for organizations operating in different currencies.
I’m curious to know:
Why was the module removed in Odoo 18? Are there any plans to bring back similar functionality in future versions? What alternatives does Odoo recommend for managing financial consolidations now?

The
Consolidation app removed in Odoo 18.0 and replaced by
shared accounts feature.
