Our products are tracked with unique id, but it is also important to track their batch. By batch I mean a label (e.g. B0001) from manufacturer, stating that the items have been produced together.
Exploring ODOO, I have spotted option in Inventory "Products can have several attributes, defining variants (Example: size, color,...)".
We could activate it and would track the batch, though the batch would stay a custom attribute.
Can we track batches without this option? Is there any native ODOO/Inventory record, that can track batches in parallel with serial numbers? For example, we can specify a batch in stock move. But it does not look reliable to us.
What are the best practices to track a batch, excluding Enterprise options?
