Paid Option Only?

Hello,

I recently installed openerp 7 on a system. After logging in for the first time it took me to settings page and asked me to update the system plugins. I clicked on update and it took me to odoo's site asking for $600.

Is there no way that I can use it on my own server for free?

Hi,
Yes, of course, you can use your own
local server. Before that, you need to be aware of the different hosting
types.
