Hello,

I'm currently testing the functions of the shop system and would like to give the customer the opportunity to enter information when he puts a certain item in the shopping cart. The background is that I like to need a serial number for the device when ordering an item. The customer must then be able to enter his serial number when ordering the item. I need the input information in the confirmation email that the shop sends. 
Is this possible in the online version of the shop?

Thank you very much for the tip. I had already tried that too. But unfortunately, as you already wrote, the information that was entered is visible in the order in the portal, but unfortunately it is not part of the email confirmation. Since I parse the orders by email with their contents using a python script and do other things, I'm unfortunately missing that. But still thank you very much for the support!

Hi Frank,

In the standard system, it is not possible to enter an individual note for each product when adding it to the shopping cart. However, I would recommend activating the “Extra Step During Checkout” option in the “Shop - Checkout Process” section of the website app settings.

This item enables an independently configurable step in the checkout - here, for example, a reference can be entered by the customer.

The specified reference is then displayed in the corresponding order in the sales app in the “Other Info” tab.


This step is therefore intended for the entire order rather than for each individual product.
