I have an Odoo 19 Community Version for Ubumtu running on a Windows 11 computer. This is only a test installation to test Odoo's functions. The problem now is that the Odoo service automatically shuts down if I don't click in the browser for 5 minutes.

Is this an automatic shutdown that can be turned off?

Thank you for pointing that out.

Odoo runs on Ubuntu via WSL, and the console is always open. So it could be that the service is being terminated by Ubuntu itself. I'll check that out.

Hi,

Odoo 19 Community does not include any automatic shutdown feature based on browser inactivity.
The server stopping after 5 minutes usually indicates a problem with the service configuration, not Odoo itself.
When running Odoo on Windows, the most common cause is that the server was started from a terminal or script that auto-closes after idle time.
Another frequent cause is that the service is running in developer/test mode, and the process manager (e.g., Windows Task Scheduler, batch runner) terminates inactive processes.
Make sure Odoo is installed as a proper Windows service or run it manually in a persistent terminal (cmd or PowerShell`) that stays open.
Check Windows Event Viewer or the Odoo log file to confirm whether Windows, not Odoo, is closing the process.
