Odoo 17 - Tasks that depend on events AND milestones

Question

Consider the following situation:
Milestone 1  Task 1 Task 2 Milestone 2 Task 3 Task 4  Milestone 1 must be complete before Tasks 1 and 2 can start. Milestone2 is only achieved after Tasks 1 and 2 are complete. Milestone 2 must be complete before Tasks 3 and 4 can start.
I am using Odoo Community Edition v17 and am open to installing open source third party modules (OCA, etc).
How is this meant to be handled in Odoo? As I currently understand it Milestones are basically more of an analytic accou

Hello Amine,
I hope you are doing well
*Problem: *Odoo 17 CE milestones are for invoicing/grouping, not dependencies. You can't make tasks depend on milestones natively.
*Solution: *Use "Gate Tasks" instead of milestones:
Milestone 1 Gate         │         ├──► Task 1 ──┐         │             ├──► Milestone 2 Gate         └──► Task 2 ──┘           │                                   ├──► Task 3                                   │                                   └──► Task 4
Create regular task
