Missing chart of accounts in accounting for second company

Question

I have added a second company. Unfortunately the new company does not a chart of accounts associated and I am not able to install it as it is already installed.

You dont need to install, but with just your second company selected (active), go to accounting->configuration->settings and under "Fiscal Localization" select the already installed package and save.

I managed to fix it by changing the e-mail address. I forget the details but I got it solved.

I am having this same problem.  The "Solved" suggestion does not fix the problem.  There does not appear to be a package for US.

why on v16 there is no option for "Fiscal ocalization" it seems you need to import COA for every company.

I tried that but then I get the error message:
The e-mail alias faktu@example.odoo.com is already used by the
Leverandørfakturaer Journal. Choose another alias or change it on the
other document.
