I have multiple subcontractors and I would like to configure a separate virtual location for each subcontractor in Odoo. Each virtual location should have its own accounting configuration (i.e., different stock input/output and valuation accounts).

Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:

  • Create individual virtual locations (e.g., "Subcontractor A", "Subcontractor B").
  • Assign specific accounting accounts to each location.
  • Use these locations in subcontracting flows so that each subcontractor’s transactions are tracked separately in inventory and accounting.
  • Ensure the correct accounts are used automatically when stock moves related to each subcontractor happen.

Is this possible in Odoo (preferably using the standard features), and what is the best way to configure this setup?

The subcontractor location can be updated from contact > Sales and purchase tab > inventory section.

This would need the developer mode to turned on.
