How can we do Inter company shipments with lot numbers via "inter company transit" location?

We are working  a multi company setup, and track our products with lot numbers. I have an idea for shipping products from company 1 to company 2, but I cannot get it to work.

I want to use the "inter company transit" location, which is not linked to either company.
- Company 1 ships the goods to destination location = inter company transit
- Company 2 receives the goods from source location = inter company transit
Then when I do the receipt in company 2, I can just "check availab

Hello mvs,
Very first,  if it's inter company transfer then there must be sales and purchase transaction between companies, you can also create customer invoice and vendor bill directly without sales and purchase.
Source company will send good through delivery order and the destination company wil receive it with incoming shipment. There is no default way to manage common lot and serial number for two different companies.
We can do it by customization. destination company has to use the lot numb
