Hi everyone,

I’m trying to understand how the figures shown on the Accounting Dashboard for a bank journal in Odoo are actually calculated — specifically:

• Balance
• Payments
• Misc. Operations

I know they come from bank statement lines, but I’m not fully sure what exactly gets counted under each one.

For example:

• What kind of transactions are included in Payments?
• What is considered a Misc. Operation and how is it different from regular payments or receipts?
• Does Balance reflect the sum of all statement lines, or is it connected to actual accounting journal entries?

Can someone please explain how these numbers work behind the scenes and how they relate to reconciliation and statement lines?
