A finales de la década del 60, los Líderes Nacionales en Panamá se percataron de la urgente necesidad de crear una Institución Oficial Educativa de la Iglesia de Dios, donde permitirían a los ministros presentes y futuros, educarse para su desarrollo ministerial. En 1969, durante la Supervisión del Rev. Charles Clyde Hargrave se construyó el Instituto Bíblico Panameño. En el año siguiente, 1970, se inician las labores escolares en esta naciente institución.
