How to create multiple users and manage their access rights throughout the application(not for particular modules) in odoo 10?
For example, the admin creates a User1 and wants that user to access only some of the modules such as Sales and Forum, similarly, admin creates another user2 and wants them to access Inventory and some other module. Is it possible?

Where can I get a good material or video to study thoroughly about the topic mentioned above?
I looked for it. but the best content I could get was from buying from odoo class. Is there any other way?

Well.

For this you can create your own groups and assign the access rights to it.

There are some existing groups in Odoo.

You can also inherit those groups in your group so that all the access of those two groups will be given to your group.

Using groups you can add views, menus, actions, access rights record rules etc.

For this you can follow the following steps.

1. Go to Settings and on the dashboard you can see 4 tiles in the 4th tile you can see a link called activate the developer mode.

2. Click on this which will activate the developer mode and add some more menus under Settings.

3. Now go to Settings/Users/Groups menu.

4. The groups are similar to roles. Here you can decide what this role will be do. You can first create the access rights, menu access what this group will be able to see. Then you can add users to this group and users of this group will be able to do only the things which they are suppose to do.

5. Similarly you can create an another group and you can add other users to those groups and they will have the access of this group. You can assign group in the users as well.

The most significant area in Odoo/OpenERP is how to deal or manage users. Managing users and assigning groups or role is the key point in every business. In Odoo/OpenERP assigning role or group to the single user is made through Administrator. And its not a good practice to do so using login through admin and do some setting stuff like assigning groups to employee or users.
