Hi dear Odooers,

for our sales team, we only want to give access to the CRM App but bot to the Sales app. Is there a possibility to select that the user can only see the CRM App?

Hi,

Considering your question, you have to hide the Sales App and show the CRM app to some users. Currently, the CRM App is restricted to the users who are added to any of the security groups Sales/ Administrator and Sales/ User: Own Documents Only. But, the Sales App is visible to all users. So to hide the Sales App, you have to create a new security group and add the group to the Sales menu item. For this, you have to enable debug(or developer) mode and then navigate to Settings/ Technical/ User Interface/ Menu Items and then search for Sales. Open the Sales menu record and add the new security group in the Access Rights tab. This will restrict the visibility of the Sales App menu to the users added to the group. So, you have to add the users to the new group in order to view the Sales App menu.

I think you can do that via changing all CRM module "Access Rights" from ( Sales / Administrator or Sales / User: Own Documents Only or what ever) to new group for CRM user's only  

then you can give this group for CRM users only and give Sales & CRM group for whoever gonna use both modules
