Yes, I know I can have recurring documents which will be a copy of a model document. This takes care of my need to invoice someone every month (although it means I will need an invoice model for every customer). But... what about price changes? When a prices changes, the invoice lines get copied and not updated which will force me to update all invoice templates.

Does anyone know of a way to automatically update values or will I have to code it?

Must be an old version of Odoo @Ray Carnes

In Odoo V17 Odoo doesn’t seem to allow modifying the price of an item in an active subscription.

@Erwin Craps, your way of dealing with this seems to work in the end, but is indeed a very cumbersome task

I hope I come by a better solution. If somebody else has one, please post it here :)

If you use the Subscriptions App, you just edit any subscription in progress and change the price.

1 - the original monthly (in this case) pricing.

2 - ability to edit the new price (invoices going forward) which here is a 30% increase.

Just got a tip of another Odoo user.

Tried from my Odoo mobile app and I can modify the price of the subscription and save.

It is a work around for now, but still no clear logic behind it.

Anybody else got an explanation for this ?

The only way I know is to add a new line with the new price and delete or put the old line to 0 quantity.
It's very painfull when having lot's of subscriptions or subscriptions with a varying periodic price.

We have the same problem, Odoo user has members and want to send out an invoice every year. Prices are changed every year, how can Odoo handle this?
