We use the quote/invoice in the sales module to quote and invoice walk in customers in our store. We want to be able to sell in the e-commerce site items different than what we sell to walk in customers in the store.

Therefore, when creating a quote in store, we don't want the e-commerce items to be searchable. Because the description is very similar...when searching for the in store items, the e-commerce items will show as well...something we would like to avoid.

Is there a way to allow items to be displayed in the e-commerce site but not have them displayed in the sales module when doing a quote?

It would be a solution similar to publishing or un-publishing a product but instead of having the product that is quotable in the sales module display or not display on the e-commerce site, I would like it to display on the e-commerce site but not display in the quote.

If not possible, my next question would be whether I can restrict certain users from viewing certain products when quoting.
