The posbox software used to run on a version 8.0 of Odoo. This new

version indeed runs on a 11.0 version of Odoo.

However, it does not matter for the user. You can use this version of

the posbox to communicate with a point of sale in version 9, 10 or 11

(or even 7 and 8.0), no problem.

The only exception is the support for customer facing display (added in

the previous version of the posbox). This feature is only available for

users of Odoo 11.0.

Dear point of sale users,

We have published a new version of the image of the PosBox for the point of sale module.

While this change should have no visible effect on the user, the change is important on the technical side (long story short: running on python 3 instead of python 2).

Before shipping this upgrade to production, we have published the new version (now 17) in beta and we would love if some of you could flash it on a raspberry pi and test it on a point of sale.

You can find the new image in the following file

and flash the micro sd card with a tool like etcher.
