I am hoping to start a discussion on how others have found a solution for or working around the limitation of Odoo's lead/opportunity module, where only one contact can be associated with a lead/opportunity. This problem becomes especially frustrating when working with the Odoo Gmail extension.

In situations where multiple people from a client organization are involved in the sales process, it is not uncommon for different individuals to respond to emails regarding an offer. Unfortunately, this makes it difficult to match the email message to the correct opportunity, as the email address doesn't match the associated contact.

To further illustrate the issue, let me give an example. Let's say I send an email to a potential client via the chatter in the opportunity module, and I add multiple people from the client organization as followers. After a few days, I receive a response from one of the followers, but it's not the person listed as the main contact. Instead, it's someone else who is also involved in the decision-making process. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to associate this email with the opportunity since the email address doesn't match the main contact.

In this situation, I am left with the tedious task of copy-pasting the email content and manually attaching it to the opportunity, which can be time-consuming and frustrating. It would be much more efficient if there was a way to associate the email with the opportunity, regardless of which contact within the client organization responded.

I am eager to hear from others in the community who may have faced similar challenges and found workarounds or solutions to this limitation in Odoo.
