I have followed all the steps in the tutorial video to create and execute a reordering rule. However, it does not work . 

what could be the problem?

Hi,

You probably missed some details.

Often overlooked details  are: in the product form on the Purchase tab, missing a vendor, price, etc. or, in Inventory app "Run Scheduler". 

Please check the details carefully and it will work safely.
