I would like to know what is the limit of a product Variants or manufacturing product configurator with a BOM to manufacture, purchase, etc. Am I expecting too much?
Here is the explanation.
A simple salesperson configurator:
- I want to have the variants as a drop down based on all products or some (sql statements of product category - not variants created desperately)
- I will have several drop-downs and if the salesperson whats less material /accessories they will leave the last drop-downs empty. this will generate a BOM with some lines of products that are "nothing".
A more complex configurator:
I want to have the configurator select from multilevel tree.
is this too much to ask? is it going to bloat the database exponentially?
Hope the explanation was clear uptil now.
