We need to setup the system that could manage purchasing and selling metal plates.

Problem is that plates have two different UoM: Weight and number of plates (units). Price is per kg, and we are purchasing number of plates.

If we put price per kg in odoo and set UoM to be kg, then we are loosing number of units in the inventory, because we can put only how many kg we have for that plate.

On the other hand, when we put units as UoM, and number of kg in the weight field, then when we start the inventory and put number of units, then it calculates only number of units x price per kg.

In our old system we had:

product    unit of measure     weight   price per kg   number of units  total price

"Test plate"         kg                       3,5            10                        2                        70

What to do and how to approach to this problem?
