I've asked a similar question in the past, but I am still a but unsure about the release schedule.


In the past, the upgrade tool on upgrade.odoo.com was released several months after a new major release. This meant that it was possible to start a new Odoo DB with the latest release, but the upgrade was only possible a few months later.


If I remember correctly, this was a bit different with Odoo 18 - the update script was released shortly after the new major version.


Do you know when the upgrade script for Odoo 19 will be available - at least for testing purposes?

We just need to:

  • finish writing the migration scripts
  • upgrade odoo.com - 6,550 Internal Users, 8.8 million Portal Users, 15 million Contacts, 2.5 million Tasks, 1.2 million Quotations/Orders/Subscriptions
  • test that migration
  • upgrade 50,000 Odoo Online databases

We are targeting November 2025 but won't make the upgrade available until we are sure we can offer a high quality experience for our Users.


If you are are new Customer (or want to create a new Trial / One App Free or Paid database) you can do so for Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and Odoo On Premise today.
