I am seeking assistance in setting up a Odoo v16 PoS system that can handle beer sold by volume (litres and mililitres). Specifically, I need the system to automatically deduct the exact amount of beer from the inventory in real time. For example, if a customer buys a small draght beer (which is 500 ml), the PoS system should immediately deduct 500ml from the inventory.

I don't think the feature is available out of the box as Odoo support single Unit of measure for Sales and another for purchase.  On the OCA, i believe there is a multi uom for POS where you can sell products in different UOM. One of my client use this module (with lots of customization) to sell gasoline in litter and galon. For other customers, I still have to create different module to address this (some of them sell only multiple UoM like packs of 100/200/500) and some of them prefer to use Variant for Quantity. In your case, if you sell 500ml from the tab, then it's just a different UoM and maybe you can handle with Odoo's built in by setting it as a product and sell as unit with a BOM and the amount of draugh beer in the bom is 500ml. But I don't normally want to involve manufacturing if the customer just want to use the sale module and always put in some customization.

I have the exact same question and can't find a way to do this myself. I feel like it should be easier and I am missing something! Were you able to resolve it?
