Hello !

New to Odoo, we haven't yet configured Reordering rules (min/max) for resupplying the produts in our shop. For now, we need to resupply the shop (POS) manually from other locations in the same building (= same Warehouse).

Somebody will go aroud the shelves in the shop and check which products are missing. He should be able to preprare a transfer in the barcode app by :

- scanning a product (or its label on the shelf)
- inputing the quantity to be taken from another (storage) location in the building

Could you point me in the right direction for doing this ?

As we have a lot of location (>1000) for storing in the building (outside the POS), we can't do a simple transfer : when we are in the shop, we don't know in which location the product is stored.

We are thinking about an intermediate location between the shop and the other locations, with a rule stating that this location should never have negative quantities; if the the quantity is negative (= we need this quantity in the shop) it would trigger a transfer from the storing locations...

Do you see a better way of solving this ? I assume (wrongly ?) that this should be a widespread need in retail...
