Hi I have been trying to make sense of the reservation method option. 

I want to make so that when there is an MO in the far future it will only reserve materials 2 months in advance. And I got that working I think. 

However something that seems odd for me is that the stock needed for this MO in the Forecast report go's to Not Available while there is plenty of stock available. Is this normal?


I was also wondering is there a possibility that it shows the MO with the closest delivery date on top. Now it seems that its the oldest MO on top. But also not always.

Not sure. But if you set reservation 2 months in advance, perhaps it do not automatic reserve if the order schedule date is closer to today, it do not reserve automatic? Try check availablity on the order.
Sorting in the forecast view is not there...

Thanks for your answer. 

I have ben testing a bit with this. I set the reservation method to 10 days in advance. And created a few MO's. 

The one I created within the 10 day period it reserves without a problem as it should. 
Every MO I create for longer then those 10 days go's to not available. I think that should be available. 
and when the days pass and those MO's come withing the reservation time periode it stays on not available. So it doesn't reserve when it needs to reserve.

Example the following screenshot. MO324,323 and 326 where created withing the reservation timeframe. Reserving directly. MO 322 was created just outside the reservation method of 10 days a few days ago. It should have reserved yesterday but didn't. 
MO 321 is wel in advance and should be on available.
