I was getting xml validation errors whenever I tried to install a module, not custom modules, but default/featured apps. Instead of trying to figure out why that was happening I just decided to re-install OpenERP. Now, whenever I try making a new database, I'm getting a ProgrammingError: relation "ir_config_parameter" does not exist. I've tried having openerp update base, and update all via the command line. I've tried manaually adding the columns until it stopped giving me errors-I eventually managed to login but nothing would display because the columns that I made that would have had display information were blank. What I don't understand is why are the databases that openerp creates providing programming errors? I'd understand if I just brought it a random database configured for a different program. And more importantly, how do I fix this so I can log in to the client and use OpenERP?
