You can grant user permission with UI after activating Developer
Please check below steps for the same
- Go to Settings > Users & Companies > Users.
- Edit the Access Rights and ensure Read access is granted for the Employee model.
To create custom user groups in Odoo for more precise access management:
- Navigate to Settings > Users & Companies > Groups to create and manage these groups.
- Under the Technical section, in Security, click on Access Rights.
- Locate and select the user or custom user group (e.g., "Employees") for configuring access rights.
To grant read access without creating a custom group:
- Go to Settings > Users & Companies > Groups.
- Find and select the appropriate group or user (e.g., "Employees") to configure access rights.
- Under the Technical Settings section, click on Access Rights.
- Locate the Employee model and ensure Read access is enabled.

Crm have 2 access right, all and own document. To be able to see all lead u should use all document right
