Hi All,

We sell products that can have multiple attributes, and each attribute can have multiple configurations.

At the moment we have to enter all the attributes via a drop-down menu when we enter the sales order, this is OK but there is always human error involved if something goes wrong.

Is it possible for Odoo to create part numbers based on the variant, where each attribute is separated by a special character?

E.g.

if I were to purchase a button from the above link, i would order "MPI005/D/28/L/S/BL/12" which equates to a 19mm Metal Push Button, Dot Illumination, 2.8mm Plug Terminal, Latching,
Stainless Steel, Blue, 12 Volt.

I would like to replicate this within Odoo if possible so my customers can just send a part number to us with all the variants embedded, so there is no ambiguity or human error when entering the sales order.
