Hi
i am using Openerp 7. In the accounting module their is about 8 journals. i want to use only one main Journal for all my accounting for ex General Journal that is it no more and it should handle all the entries is that possible ?

You can't.. because every journal has different type and different function.. example: you can't use sales journal as the payment journal or use sales journal for both purchase and sale..
Also, I'm not sure why you would want to do this. There is only one general ledger. A journal is just a set of defaults for how transactions hit the general ledger. Having just one would increase the work a user has to do processing transactions because they would need to enter all of the accounts instead of having OpenERP know which ones need to be hit via the type of transaction (using the relevant journal).
