1) On chart of account we have  created 2 new account

with account type = Off Balance Sheet  


2) Create a journal entry with 100 debit and 100 credit


3) After posting the entry we don't see any effect on Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet

But we see the Debit /Credit values in Trail balance 


is there  any way to exclude "Off Balance Sheet  " account from Trail Balance

It is possible:

  1. Enable "favorite filters" for the Trial Balance report
  2. Create a filter on Journal Items
  3. Go to Trial Balance and select the filter you created
